Emergency Notification System
Be Prepared, Be Notified!
Steele County utilizes Everbridge as the Community Emergency Notification System. The Everbridge Emergency Notification System delivers pre-recorded emergency telephone notifications and information messages to targeted areas of the county or the entire city.
While Everbridge begins with an existing database of telephone numbers, no one should automatically assume his or her phone number is included. Residents and businesses are encouraged to create a user account. Once you have entered your preferences for notification you will receive timely emergency notifications when alerts are issued. Creating a user account allows you to add other notifications such as cell phones, text, and email.
You will receive time sensitive messages wherever you specify, such as you home, cell, business phone, email, text messages, hearing impaired receiving device, and more. You pick where, you pick how. Visit Everbridge at https://member.everbridge.net/index/453003085612579#/signup to enroll.
Get alerted about emergencies and other important community news by signing up for the Steele County Emergency Notification System. This notification system enables Steele and Rice Counties to provide you with critical information quickly in a variety of situations, such as severe weather, unexpected road closures, missing persons, and evacuations of our buildings or neighborhoods. You will receive time sensitive messages wherever you specify, such as you home, cell, business phone, email, text messages, hearing impaired receiving device, and more. You pick where, you pick how.
